If you are new to multisport paddling, making the right choice for your first kayak is important. Don't be tempted to choose a 'faster' kayak. Choose a stable kayak like the Intrigue and not only are you less likely to take a swim but you will feel more confident, which leads to faster times.
The Intrigue provides the paddler with plenty of stability in white water, yet it will still move along nicely on the flat. It suits a small to mid sized paddler, up to around 180cm tall.
- Low profile for reduce windage (important in the Waimak Gorge)
- Large cockpit for easy transitions and paddler comfort
- Adjustable Ozo foot pedals
- Carbon or Carbon / Kevlar
Weight: Fibreglass 14.5kg Composite 12.2kg
Paddler weight: up to 75 kg
The deck can be a solid colour or a two colour fade. Fibreglass kayaks have a white hull, while composite kayaks have a 'bare' hull so you can show off the carbon or carbon/ kevlar construction.
Ruahine Kayaks are made to order. We can discuss the options available at the time you order.
