If you were to take all the characteristics you wanted in a kayak, mixed them together and then made a kayak, you would end up with the Skua. It will work well for a range of paddlers, in a range of different conditions.
It has enough length that it will track well in a range of conditions, but it's not so long that it becomes unmanagable when empty or is a handful in the surf. There's enough width to make it stable and reassuring, but it's still easy to edge.
Add in the low deck profile, the day hatch behind the seat and plenty of on-deck storage and you have a kayak that you will love to paddle.
